This is a print of an original painting of two old boats at low tide in Ballyhack, Co. Wexford. I was sitting outside Walter Byrnes pub one beautiful Summers evening enjoying a pint, when I glanced around the tiny little harbour that lies just across the road. The tide was out and these two little boats lay there, leaning against each other as if looking for support now that the water wasn't there to suspend them. The evening was warm, the sun ready to set and the silence was such a respite from the hustle and bustle of normal life. And here sat these two boats waiting......waiting for the moon to pull the next tide into harbour and lift them from their evening slumber.
