As an artist I don't like to "pigeon hole" myself with being able to paint only one type of subject, for example just painting buildings or seascapes. I like to push myself out of my comfort zone every chance I get. After all, its still just paper and paint your working with.
This is the main reason behind tonight's panting I call "The Showjumper".
I really wanted to challenge myself to see if I could capture the muscle and strength of this beautiful animal. The shape of the head and eye's and how precariously the rider perches on her back during a jump. This was a challenge and I hope you think I did these pair justice.
